Doctors Separate Five Zakho Kittens Joined at Birth

Five newborn kittens joined together at birth today survived an operation to separate them.

The kittens, named Zakho one, two, three, four and five, were operated on at the veterinary college in Duhok.

Zakho resident Ramazan Dashtmri found the five kittens in the district yesterday and took them to the Duhok-based Kurdistan Organization of Animal Rights Protection (KOARP).

The kittens were separated one-by-one during the operation by Dr. Sulaiman Saeed of KOARP and doctors Meream Ibrahim and Burhan Miffty.
