Several global firms proposed investment projects in the electricity sector in Basra, according to a local official on Thursday, adding a delegation from Germany’s Siemens is having negotiations with officials in Basra.

Responsible for the oversight and implementation of the country's electrical system. This includes technical and financial support in order to meet the growing needs of the population, including training more staff, as well as developing and implementing new systems, programming, and projects.

Responsible for the oversight, rehabilitation, improvement and expansion of public water, sewage treatment works, and trash collection and disposal.

Minister Latif Rashid

Responsible for providing surface and ground water management for the Iraqi populace. This includes modernising its operations in order to balance the demands of municipal and industrial water supply, hydropower, irrigation and flood control.
