German School Opened in Erbil

The first German school in Kurdistan was opened today in Erbil, and will accept students for this academic year.

Minister Khudayr al-Khuzai

The Iraq Ministry of Education is responsible for the policy, planning, management and security of the country's education system, which encompasses administrative offices and educational schools and facilities. Their activities include providing textbooks and supplies for students and teachers as well as setting educational standards and training.

Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research

Minister Abid Dhiyab al-Ujayli

Responsible for the administration of the country's universities, institutes, colleges, commissions and research centres. The Ministry also supervises accreditation, promotes scientific research and development, and operates its own research institute and publishing house.

Ministry of Youth & Sports

Minister Jasim Muhammad Jafar

Responsible for organizing, managing and rebuilding informal education and sports programmes as well as the facilities used to host them. These programmes include art, drama and language classes, scientific and technical training courses, etc.
