Baghdad, 08 May 2008 (Voices of Iraq)
The Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said it has authorized universities and institutes to set the dates for their final exams for the academic year 2007-2008.
"Universities have been allowed to set the dates for their final exams, provided that they have completed 30 study weeks in the academic year 2007-2008," read a statement released by the Iraqi cabinet's Media National Center and received by Aswat al-Iraq, Voices of Iraq, (VOI), quoting an official media source from the ministry.
The results are scheduled to be announced on July 15, the source added, noting that some universities have extended its courses to six days a week to make up for the periods during which classes were cancelled for various reasons.
