The Iraqi Ministry of Education on Wednesday said that talented and gifted school students will enjoy government support and the privilege to continue their education in Iraqi universities and abroad.
"The Iraqi cabinet has decided to pay gifted students enrolled in schools for the talented a wage sufficient to cover the cost of living during their study period, and to provide all their necessary needs," according to a ministerial statement received by Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI).
The statement further quoted the Iraqi Minister of Education Khudeir al-Khizaie as saying that the ministry has obtained the cabinet's approval to pay each student a monthly amount of $250.
