A chorus of the usual suspects, Washington’s warrior-pundits and 'warrior journalists', are singing ever louder versions of a song warning of that greatest of all dangers: premature withdrawal. Why must we stay in Iraq, given our abysmal record there? After our invasion, the Iraqis did descend into a monumental bloodbath.
